Short answer: yes. We load TBR together with LTR, and LTR together with PCR. What matters is that not every combination is available every month, so the mix has to be agreed before booking rather than after.
Which combinations we load
- TBR + LTR — truck & bus tires with light truck tires
- LTR + PCR — light truck tires with passenger car tires
The pairings follow the sizes. Adjacent rim diameters nest and stack together; a 22.5 inch truck tire and a 13 inch passenger tire in the same load do not use the space well.
Why mixing fills a container better
Used tires are not loaded loose. Smaller tires are pushed inside larger ones — 2-in-1, 3-in-1, sometimes a fourth. A single-size container leaves the inside of every casing empty; a mixed container uses it. That is why a mixed PCR and light truck 40ft runs to around 2,000–2,200 PCR plus 500–550 LT pieces, which is a lot of product for one freight charge.
A truck-tire container we ship regularly looks like this:
- 11R22.5 — 150 pieces
- 225/80R17.5 — 180 pieces
- 245/70R19.5 — 50 pieces
Three sizes, three different buyers at your end, one freight cost.
Why availability changes
We are working with used tires collected in Japan, not manufacturing to order. What comes in this month is not identical to last month. So a mix we loaded in one shipment is not automatically repeatable in the next, and we will not promise a combination we cannot fill. Give us your ideal mix and your acceptable substitutions at the quotation stage and we will tell you what is realistic for that month.
Watch the weight, not just the space
Mixing in truck tires and casings raises the weight fast. A 40ft that is full by volume can still exceed the road weight limit at your destination, and that limit differs by country. Tell us your destination port and any axle or gross weight limit on your side and we will build the loading plan around it.
What to send us
- The types you want — PCR, LT, TBR, casings
- The rough share of each, and which sizes matter most
- What you will accept as a substitute if a size is short that month
- Container size and destination port
FAQ
Can I mix tire types in one container?
Yes. TBR can be loaded with LTR, and LTR can be loaded with PCR.
Can I mix TBR and PCR directly?
The combinations we work with are TBR with LTR and LTR with PCR. Tell us what you need and we will confirm what is loadable that month.
Is the mix I want always available?
No. Stock is collected, not manufactured, so availability changes month to month. Confirm the mix before booking.
Does mixing get more tires into a container?
Usually yes, because small tires occupy the space inside larger ones.
Can I include casings in a mixed load?
Yes — see our used tire casings page for what we grade as casing stock.
Tell us your mix
Send us the types, sizes and shares you want, plus your destination port, and we will come back with a loading plan and a CIF offer.
