Used light truck tires (LTR) from Japan

USED TIRE JAPAN supplies Japanese used light truck tires — LTR or LT tires, used light truck tyres — in 16, 17.5 and 19.5 inch sizes, by the container, to importers and wholesalers worldwide.

Light truck tires are the workhorse size for delivery vans, minibuses and small trucks, and they are one of the fastest-moving categories in most of our markets. Japan runs a very large light commercial fleet on short urban routes, which is why LT tires here come off the vehicle with tread still on them.

LTR tire sizes we handle

We handle 17.5 and 19.5 inch light truck tires as our core range, plus 16 inch LT sizes. Sizes marked (main) are available in volume on a regular basis.

Brands and condition

  • Bridgestone
  • Dunlop
  • Yokohama
  • Toyo Tires
  • Falken
  • Goodyear
  • Michelin
  • Continental

Our stock comes from tire shops, fleet operators and dismantling yards across Japan, so the brand mix is simply whatever is fitted on Japanese vehicles — Bridgestone, Yokohama, Toyo, Dunlop, Falken, Goodyear, Michelin and Continental — along with other brands sold in the Japanese market.

We work only with partner yards that run their own inspection before tires are packed. Tell us the minimum tread depth and the sizes you sell most, and we will confirm what our yards can actually gather before you commit to a booking. We would rather tell you a size is short this month than load something you cannot sell.

Container loading for LT tires

Container loading for LT tires

Light truck tyres are the most flexible category to load, because they combine well with both passenger car tires and truck tires.

  • LTR mixed with PCR in a 40ft container: approximately 500–550 LT pieces plus 2,000–2,200 PCR pieces
  • LTR mixed with TBR: for example 180 pcs of 225/80R17.5 and 50 pcs of 245/70R19.5 alongside 150 pcs of 11R22.5
  • 20ft container: available for a first trial order

Tires are packed 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 to make full use of the container.

FAQ — buying used light truck tires from Japan

How many light truck tires fit in a container?

In a 40ft container mixed with passenger car tires, roughly 500–550 LT pieces plus 2,000–2,200 PCR pieces. A pure LT load or an LT + TBR mix is also possible — ask us and we will build a loading plan for your order.

What is the difference between LTR and TBR here?

We classify 16, 17.5 and 19.5 inch as light truck (LTR), and 22.5 inch as truck & bus (TBR). If you need 22.5 inch, see our used truck & bus tires page.

Can LT tires be mixed with other types in one container?

Yes. LT can be loaded with PCR, and LT can be loaded with TBR. Not every combination is available every month, so confirm with us before booking.

Can I start with a 20ft container?

Yes, for an initial trial order. Regular buyers move to 40ft containers once the first shipment is checked.

Which markets do you ship light truck tires to?

Worldwide, with regular shipments to the USA, Central and South America, Central and South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
