Used truck & bus tires (TBR) from Japan

USED TIRE JAPAN exports Japanese used truck and bus tires — TBR tires, or used truck tyres — in 22.5 inch sizes, by the container, to fleet suppliers, retreaders and wholesalers around the world.

Japanese commercial vehicles run on well-maintained roads under strict load and speed regulations, and operators replace tires on a fixed schedule rather than running them to the limit. The result is a used TBR tire with a sound casing and usable tread — the reason Japanese truck tyres are in demand from West Africa to Central Asia.

Brands and condition

  • Bridgestone
  • Dunlop
  • Yokohama
  • Toyo Tires
  • Falken
  • Goodyear
  • Michelin
  • Continental

Our stock comes from tire shops, fleet operators and dismantling yards across Japan, so the brand mix is simply whatever is fitted on Japanese vehicles — Bridgestone, Yokohama, Toyo, Dunlop, Falken, Goodyear, Michelin and Continental — along with other brands sold in the Japanese market.

We work only with partner yards that run their own inspection before tires are packed. Tell us the minimum tread depth and the sizes you sell most, and we will confirm what our yards can actually gather before you commit to a booking. We would rather tell you a size is short this month than load something you cannot sell.

Container loading for TBR tires

Container loading for TBR tires

Truck and bus tyres are bulky, so the loading plan matters more than with passenger car tires. A typical 40ft container of 11R22.5 alone holds 288 pieces.

Most buyers prefer a mixed load. A common combination we ship is:

  • 11R22.5 — 150 pieces
  • 225/80R17.5 — 180 pieces
  • 245/70R19.5 — 50 pieces

TBR can be loaded together with LT (light truck) tires in the same container. A 20ft container is available for a first trial order.

FAQ — buying used truck & bus tires from Japan

How many 11R22.5 used truck tires fit in a 40ft container?

Around 288 pieces when the container is loaded with 11R22.5 only. Most buyers instead mix sizes — for example 150 pcs of 11R22.5, 180 pcs of 225/80R17.5 and 50 pcs of 245/70R19.5.

Do you sell sizes other than 22.5 inch?

For truck and bus tires we normally stay with 22.5 inch. For 17.5 and 19.5 inch, see our used light truck tires page.

Can TBR and LTR tires be loaded in the same container?

Yes. TBR and LTR can be loaded together, and LTR and PCR can be loaded together. Not every combination works every month, so please confirm with us before you plan the load.

Can I buy used truck tires for retreading?

Yes. Tell us that the casing is your priority and we will select accordingly. See our used tire casings page for details.

Which port will my truck tires ship from?

Ishikari, Tomakomai, Hachinohe, Akita, Sendai, Niigata, Kashiwazaki, Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka, Kobe or Moji, depending on where the stock is gathered and which sailing gives you the best transit time to your port.

Can you ship every month?

Yes. We are a wholesaler, and monthly shipments are a normal arrangement for our regular buyers.
