A casing is bought for its carcass, not its tread. What a retreader needs is a body that has not been overloaded, overheated or run flat, and that is exactly where Japanese stock has an advantage: regulated axle loads, strict speed limits, well-paved roads and fleet operators who replace tires on schedule rather than running them into the cords.

Brands and condition

Our stock comes from tire shops, fleet operators and dismantling yards across Japan, so the brand mix is simply whatever is fitted on Japanese vehicles — Bridgestone, Yokohama, Toyo, Dunlop, Falken, Goodyear, Michelin and Continental — along with other brands sold in the Japanese market.

We work only with partner yards that run their own inspection before tires are packed. Tell us the minimum tread depth and the sizes you sell most, and we will confirm what our yards can actually gather before you commit to a booking. We would rather tell you a size is short this month than load something you cannot sell.

Container loading for casings

Casings load like the truck tires they come from. A 40ft container of 11R22.5 casings runs to 294 pieces; mixed loads with 17.5 and 19.5 inch sizes are common. A 20ft container is available for a first trial order.

Casings are not a separate stream of stock — they are selected out of the same truck and bus tires we export. When you order casings rather than running tires, tell us up front, because the selection criteria change completely:

Whether you accept casings that have already been retreaded once, or first-life casings only
Any age limit you apply (DOT / production week)
Your position on repaired casings and sidewall marks

We trade on CIF terms only, and every shipment is insured by us. Freight is normally prepaid in Japan, but it can be arranged as collect at your port if that suits your bank better. We ship from all major Japanese ports — Ishikari, Tomakomai, Hachinohe, Akita, Sendai, Niigata, Kashiwazaki, Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka, Kobe and Moji. Tell us your destination port and we will quote CIF to it.

Payment

Most buyers pay by T/T (telegraphic transfer, bank to bank). Wise is also accepted, and buyers on a yearly contract can settle by L/C at sight.

What is a used tire casing?

A casing is a worn commercial tire bought for its carcass so that a retread factory can apply new tread to it. The remaining tread depth matters far less than the condition of the body, the bead and the belt package.

Why buy Japanese casings?

Japanese commercial vehicles run under strict load and speed regulation on well-maintained roads, and operators replace tires on a schedule. Casings therefore tend to arrive without the overload and run-flat damage that makes a carcass unusable.

Can I specify first-life casings only?

Tell us at the quotation stage. Selection criteria such as first-life only, age limits and your position on repairs change what our yards need to gather, so they have to be agreed before the order, not after.

How many casings fit in a container?

294 pieces of 11R22.5 in a 40ft container. Mixed loads with 17.5 and 19.5 inch casings are common and we will build a loading plan for your order.
